Huankui Lecture: AI Empowers Learning Efficiency – A Case Study of DeepSeek Large Model

On April 14, Huankui College invited Professor Jie Anquan, Director of the Education and Teaching Evaluation Center and Professor from the School of Computer and Information Engineering at Jiangxi Normal University, to deliver a special lecture themed "AI Empowers Learning Efficiency – A Case Study of DeepSeek Large Model". He deeply analyzed AI’s diverse applications across fields and its profound impact on education and learning, providing students with cutting-edge knowledge and practical guidance.

Professor Jie introduced the development history and core concepts of AI, focusing on comparing the characteristics and advantages of ChatGPT and DeepSeek. He noted that DeepSeek, with its strong capabilities in language generation, learning, context understanding, and transferability, has become a key tool for boosting learning and work efficiency. He also explained the concept of large models and their connection to AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content), demonstrating their innovative applications in text, images, voice, and other fields through cases – such as using DeepSeek and Kimi to create PPTs, mind maps, and posters.


When discussing AI’s role in enhancing research efficiency, Professor Jie pointed out that AI significantly accelerates research processes by optimizing literature retrieval, data analysis, experiment design, and paper writing. However, he warned of potential risks like over-reliance on technology and the decline of academic thinking. He shared practical tips and precautions for using AI tools: students can guide AI to generate more tailored responses through natural language conversations (e.g., "plain language" questions), but must treat AI results cautiously and avoid blind copying. He emphasized that future learning paradigms will shift toward human-AI collaboration, urging students to maintain independent thinking and adhere to academic standards while leveraging technological empowerment.


In the Q&A session, students discussed issues such as AI diagnostic liability, data access, and AI agent construction with Professor Jie. He responded to each question, suggesting students use online resources and tutorials to learn AI agent development and take programming courses to deepen their understanding.


As a transformative technological force, AI brings numerous opportunities to the medical field – from assisted diagnosis and personalized treatment planning to medical research data analysis and healthcare process optimization. "AI is just a tool; it cannot replace medical students’ professional knowledge, clinical experience, or humanistic care," emphasized Dean Zheng Liping. "Professional expertise is the foundation for medical students’ careers, and solid professional skills are their core competitiveness. Students should cultivate engineering thinking to drive innovation and integration; make good use of AI to improve efficiency without blind reliance, maintaining independent thinking; and above all, uphold humanistic care to serve patients wholeheartedly – that is the essence of medicine."
