On April 10, Huankui College invited Judge Wang Zhiming, Director of the Juvenile and Family Trial Court of Honggutan District People's Court, to deliver a special lecture themed "Guidance on College Students' Legal Risk Prevention". The lecture aimed to comprehensively popularize legal risk prevention knowledge and strengthen students' legal awareness.

Starting with his own experiences, Judge Wang explored legal risks from four life-related perspectives: "sports scenarios", "romantic relationships", "beauty pursuits", and "wealth-seeking attempts". He detailed civil, criminal, and administrative legal risks that college students may encounter, and offered practical preventive suggestions. He emphasized that in today's complex social environment, only by continuously improving legal literacy can students prepare in advance and avoid risks.

Key Prevention Tips

l Preventive Measures: Install the national anti-fraud APP (with on-site demonstration of facial recognition interception function); separate tuition payment cards from daily consumption cards for hierarchical bank card management.

l Post-Incident Response: Follow the "golden 30-minute" reporting process (preserve chat records and transfer vouchers); understand the application conditions for payment suspension orders (Article 20 of the Anti-Fraud Law).

To make legal risks more intuitive, Judge Wang shared typical cases: Xiao Liang who knocked down an elderly passerby on the sports field, Li Li deceived by her partner, Xiao Mei distressed by a failed cosmetic surgery, and Xiao Zhang burdened with huge debts due to reckless signature. Combining specific legal provisions, he analyzed the judgment basis and results of each case in detail, helping students gain a deeper understanding of potential legal risks in different situations.

He also gave two core reminders: first, improve the ability to distinguish information, stay alert to "professional debt bearer" scams, resist illegal financial activities, and avoid being lured by illegal interests; second, strengthen risk prevention awareness, value personal credit, refrain from casually guaranteeing debts for others, and choose formal banking institutions for loans instead of illegal intermediaries.

"Law is not an inaccessible provision but a shield protecting daily life," Judge Wang said. Using plain language and vivid real cases, he made obscure legal knowledge engaging and easy to understand. He reminded students to consciously enhance legal awareness, learn legal knowledge, standardize behaviors, and improve risk prevention capabilities to avoid becoming targets or tools of criminal activities, and grow healthily and happily under the rule of law.
