(Reporter: Li Ruoyuan) Gathering the strength of tutors to jointly open a new chapter for the academy. At the beginning of the new year, to unify educational consensus, gather educational forces, and promote the high-quality development of the academy, Huankui Academy held the 2023 Annual Work Summary Conference & "Three-All Education" Tutor Exchange Seminar on the evening of January 15. Nearly 40 participants attended the event, including tutor representatives from 12 colleges and units, as well as all faculty and staff of the academy.

Warm Welcome and Honorary Recognition

Huang Xiaohong, Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Party Branch of Huankui Academy, extended sincere gratitude to all tutors for their hard work in nurturing students' growth and a warm welcome to their arrival. Subsequently, Deputy Secretary Zhang Shuixiang announced the list of Outstanding "Three-All Education" Tutors of Huankui Academy in 2023 and the list of appointed class tutors for 2024. A total of 24 tutors were awarded the title of Outstanding "Three-All Education" Tutors last year, and 5 core backbones in medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and management from affiliated hospitals, the university, and relevant functional departments of the Medical Department joined the class tutor team this year. President Zheng Liping and Secretary Huang Xiaohong presented certificates to the award-winning tutors and newly appointed tutors.

Tutor Sharing: Insights on Education and Responsibilities

Hua Fuzhou, Deputy Director of the Anesthesiology Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital and representative of outstanding tutors, fully affirmed the comprehensive quality of Huankui students. He hoped that everyone would work together to contribute to cultivating compound, top-notch, and innovative medical talents with both virtue and ability, as well as affection and righteousness, making the brand of Huankui Academy more influential, stronger, and better.

Chen Tingtao, Vice Dean of the School of Pharmacy and another representative of outstanding tutors, acknowledged the important significance of the seminar. He shared his educational philosophy: laying a solid foundation of professional knowledge to accumulate momentum for progress; strengthening humanistic quality education to enhance professional capabilities; and emphasizing ideological and value guidance to calibrate the direction of growth.

Huang Chunhong, Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and representative of class tutors, used the story of Guo Jing and his masters from Jin Yong's novels to explain the responsibilities and obligations of tutors in a simple and understandable way. He emphasized three key points: teaching students in accordance with their aptitude and rationally planning training paths for different students; imparting knowledge unreservedly by dedicating all their talents, knowledge, and resources to students; and achieving mutual growth, where teachers and students walk hand in hand, igniting youth with youth and accompanying each other with sincere hearts.

Wu Zhen, former Deputy Director of the Medical Department and another representative of class tutors, proposed that excellent tutors should fulfill their duties with quality and quantity, and practice the "Three Concerns": caring about students' ideological growth to be a guide for them to pursue lofty ideals; caring about students' progress in study and scientific research to be a companion on their growth path; and caring about students' daily life to be a good partner for them to pursue a healthy lifestyle.

Work Summary and Future Outlook

Finally, President Zheng Liping delivered a special report titled "2023 Work Summary and Future Development Thinking of Huankui Academy". She elaborated on the educational achievements made by Huankui Academy in the past year under the background of the new era, new medical science, and new missions, as well as the future development plan. After listening to the report, participating tutors shared their unique insights on "Three-All Education", talent training, and academy development, providing new ideas and schemes for further improving the quality of independent talent training in the academy.

Looking back at the work of last year is to move forward better this year. Huankui Academy will continue to adhere to the fundamental position of education, focus on the main responsibility of fostering virtue through education, work together with all tutors, and strive to cultivate future medical talents with light in their eyes, aspirations in their hearts, talent in their minds, and love in their souls.
