On May 23, students of Grade 2022 from Huankui College visited Jiangxi Provincial Art Museum to hold a Duxing Class Meeting themed "Integrate Knowledge with Action, Pursue Beauty for a Lifetime". The activity aimed to promote the organic combination of the school’s "small classroom" and society’s "big classroom", allowing students to perceive the connotation of beauty in real scenes and carry forward the traditional Chinese aesthetic education spirit.  

With an eye for beauty, one can find beauty everywhere in life. In the exhibition "Lofty Spirit of Forests and Springs – Landscape Paintings Collected by Jiangxi Provincial Art Museum", students admired famous artists’ works and felt the artistic conception of mountains and rivers in the brush strokes. In the exhibition "People’s Memories – Spatial Narrative and Artistic Expression of Bayi Square", they learned about the changes and transformation of Bayi Square since its establishment in 1956 through old design drawings, maps, and photos. Through past paintings and an interview video with artists of the 1960s and 1970s, students also gained an understanding of the main work of artists during that period.  

"Prioritize vision and insight, uphold morality and reason, and integrate the five educations innovatively; pursue literature and art to enlighten wisdom and nourish the heart, and pursue beauty for a lifetime." Beauty is the call of the times. Pursuing beauty is not for a few to master "professional skills", but for all young students to enrich their thoughts, shape their character, and draw strength from the beauty of nature, culture, and life, striving for a life of higher height, realm, and taste!  

This Duxing Class Meeting opened the door for students to appreciate artistic beauty, enabling them to cultivate aesthetic literacy, nourish their souls, and refine their taste during the visit. In the future, Huankui College will continue to carry out in-depth Duxing Class Meeting activities, allowing every Huankui student to build a colorful, fulfilling, and positive spiritual world through learning, thinking, and practicing.
