In order to implement the opinions of the Ministry of Education and other five departments on the implementation of the student physical fitness plan, deepen the sports reform of Nanchang University, and promote the high-quality development of Nanchang University student sports work, Nanchang University held a sports work conference on December 30. Huankui Academy, which ranked first in the comprehensive physical examination, made an exchange speech at the meeting as an outstanding representative.

    General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized many times that "sports are an important way to improve people's health, an important means to satisfy the people's yearning for a better life and promote people's all-round development." As an experimental field for cultivating top medical talents, Huankui Academy has built a "five-dimensional integrated" educational system of "strengthening the body and mind, solidifying the foundation, refining skills, seeking innovation, cultivating feelings, and becoming a great doctor", and puts "strengthening the body and mind" as the foundation and starting point.

    In order to promote the physical and mental health of students at Huankui Academy, Huankui Academy has proposed a sports education implementation path of "building the foundation in one body and walking together in three paths": First, joint training with the School of Physical Education, collaborative education, and deeply embedding physical exercise into the student growth evaluation system. The second is to establish a mechanism of "daily activities, weekly training, and monthly competitions" to create top ten sports teams to carry out systematic training and integrate sports into daily life. The third is to build a multi-level platform from the "Qiangyi Cup" competitive events to teacher-student friendly matches and fun sports games, so that "everyone can play and there is a stage everywhere." The fourth is to integrate sportsmanship into every dimension of the "five-dimensional integration", promote the migration of perseverance on the field to the laboratory, and extend teamwork to scientific research and innovation.

    Therefore, at Huankui Academy, the first place in the physical examination has supported many firsts in academics: 100% subject passing rate, 100% passing rate for CET-4 and CET-6, and 83.33% of the first graduates’ admission rate, all of which have entered “double first-class” universities and top domestic and foreign scientific research institutions. Sports and academics have formed a virtuous cycle in the academy of "complementary energy, co-building of character, and integration of knowledge and action".

    In the future, Huankui Academy will continue to deepen the "five-dimensional integration" talent training concept, making sports a lifelong wealth for students, and making a strong body and mind the most solid foundation for students to serve a healthy China and take on the great responsibilities of the times.
