News (Huan Kui Academy, Wu Jingyun)  The opening ceremony for the 2025 Basic Medicine Innovation Experimental Class of Huankui Academy was held on March 12 at the South Campus of Nanchang University Qianhu Campus. Pan Bingxing, Vice President of the Nanchang university, attended the ceremony.

The opening ceremony officially commenced amid the solemn and sacred national anthem. Pan Bingxing encouraged the students to anchor their life goals in the context of the times, lay a solid foundation for innovation through diligent study and accumulation, explore new academic horizons through interdisciplinary integration, and cultivate the ethos of a medical practitioner by integrating knowledge with practice. He urged them to delve deeply into the microscopic world of cells, molecules and genes, while also gaining a profound understanding of the relationship between life, health and society, striving to become top-tier talents with both moral integrity and academic excellence.

The dean of the School of Basic Medicine, Nanchang University and the responsible professor of the Basic Medicine Innovation Experimental Class expressed their expectations to the students respectively. A student representative of the 2025 Basic Medicine Innovation Experimental Class shared the aspirations and pursuit in devoting herself to basic medicine. On behalf of all new students, she also expressed her firm belief in striving for excellence in basic medicine, bravely scaling the heights of scientific research, and contributing to the development of basic medicine with the power of youth.

The ceremony also featured a white coat presentation and oath-taking. The pure white medical robe embodies the mission of medicine and the expectations of teachers. As the students received the robes and took a solemn oath, they made the youthful pledge of "Health is bound up with us; lives are entrusted to us", embedding the responsibility and commitment of a medical practitioner in their hearts.

After the ceremony, a tree-planting activity themed "Warm Spring in the Apricot Forest, Rooted in the Future" was held in front of Huankui Building. Representatives of teachers and students worked side by side to support the saplings, cultivate the soil and water them. Amid the warm spring light, they planted young trees together, embodying the original aspiration of nurturing talents through tree-planting, and letting green hope and medical dreams take root and sprout side by side.

As the first Basic Medicine Innovation Experimental Class of Huankui Academy, Nanchang University, the opening ceremony not only marks a brand-new starting point for the 2025 new students to pursue their dreams in basic medicine, but also represents a significant practice of collaborative education between Huankui Academy and the School of Basic Medicine. Relevant leaders from Jiangxi Medical College, the School of Basic Medicine and Huankui Academy, as well as the responsible professors of the Basic Medicine Innovation Experimental Class, were in attendance.
