（Reportet: Yan Mingzhu）On the evening of May 20, the closing ceremony of the 4th Huancai Culture Festival of Huankui College was held in Lecture Hall 108, First Teaching Building, Qianhu South Campus. The event marked a successful conclusion to the two‑month‑long cultural feast, which was brimming with creativity and vitality.

Themed “Resplendent Kuiguang, Stars Gathering Dreams,” this year’s Huancai Culture Festival focused on three core pillars: academic growth, role model leadership, and teacher‑student co‑development. A series of cultural and practical activities, both thought‑provoking and engaging, were organized to fully showcase the youthful spirit and character of Huankui students. The ceremony was attended by Pan Bingxing, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President of Nanchang University, as well as by other leaders from university departments and the Medical College.

The closing ceremony began in a warm and lively atmosphere. Gong Yu, a representative of the 2024 cohort from the Undergraduate Talent Cultivation Excellence Program, presented her project and shared a complete learning path – from literature reading to experimental design.

Representatives of the “Host Competition” outstanding works, Zhang Hanyu and Jiao Yanyan (2025 cohort), delivered an impressive segment. Using illustrated explanations, they gave an emergency first‑aid presentation on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the faculty and students present.

Li Linwei, a representative of the provincial “Challenge Cup” team, presented his provincial competition project live, demonstrating a spirit of defying challenges and embracing innovation.

During the ceremony, awards for sports and cultural competitions were presented. Students who excelled in table tennis, badminton, debate contests, and other events were recognized for their tenacity, hard work, and vibrant, positive attitude.

Role models serve as beacons, illuminating the way forward. Two representatives of “Star of Huankui” subsequently took the stage and shared their touching stories of pursuing a dream in medicine.

Fang Sitian spoke about her belief in staying true to her original aspiration and moving forward with dedication. She shared her experience in balancing academic studies, research, practical work, and cultural/sports activities, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and passion.

Chen Kunhua, under the theme of self‑improvement through diligence, recounted her experiences in volunteer services such as community health screenings and health education, as well as her personal journey of confronting pressure and overcoming anxiety. Her story exemplified the relentless and self‑strengthening spirit of medical students.

Afterwards, the “Stars Gathering at Huankui” award ceremony was held to commend outstanding students for their achievements in academics, research, volunteer services, and more. Each honor served as recognition of their hard work and set an inspiring example for all students.

Under the guidance of dedicated teachers, progress is made together. Professor Yang Xiaorong, an outstanding mentor, offered heartfelt advice based on his teaching and research experience. He encouraged students to cherish their university years, solidify their professional foundations, bravely explore the unknown, and strive to become medical talents with both moral integrity and professional competence.

At the ceremony, university leaders presented honorary certificates to outstanding mentors and letters of appointment to the directors of the Joint Teaching and Research Office for One Health. This not only recognized the mentors’ hard work but also represented an important step in the College’s efforts to deepen education and teaching reform and advance the training of One Health professionals.

The ceremony concluded with a choral performance by the Huankui College Choir, who sang “A Hundred Years of Vigil” and the Nanchang University alma mater song “Boundless Prospects.” Their voices were filled with passion for the medical profession and deep affection for the university, bringing the closing ceremony to a perfect end.

The successful conclusion of the 4th Huancai Culture Festival marks a solid step forward in Huankui College’s educational mission. In the future, the College will continue to enrich campus cultural activities, enhance the quality of cultural education, and help Huankui students pursue their dreams and shine brightly on their journey in medicine.
