Pan Bingxing, Standing Committee Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, attended the ceremony. Heads of the Alumni Office, Jiangxi Medical College, HuanKui Academy, and the School of Basic Medical Sciences, along with faculty representatives, jointly participated. The ceremony was presided over by Zou Lixuan, Party Branch Secretary of HuanKui Academy.

The ceremony officially commenced with the national anthem. Zheng Liping, Dean of HuanKui Academy, introduced that this year's class opening achieved three historic breakthroughs: "new space, new model, new empowerment." First, new building and new environment: the HuanKui Building integrates high-quality clinical resources with cutting-edge teaching resources to create an intelligent educational space. Second, dual classes cultivated together: for the first time, the Academy jointly with the School of Basic Medical Sciences simultaneously opened experimental classes, breaking down the boundaries between clinical practice and basic scientific research education. Third, relying on alumni resources and corporate technological strength, a diversified training system of alumni-supported education and technology empowerment is being built.

As a senior of Jiangxi Medical College, Dean Zheng encouraged the new students: First, establish oneself through learning—actively embrace the frontiers of medicine, maintain a questioning spirit, a pragmatic attitude, and perseverance in research, and let professional competence become one's strongest lifelong foundation. Second, act with perseverance—not only study diligently and hone skills, but also adjust one's mindset and strengthen one's physique, becoming a sustainable striver with physical and mental health. Third, cultivate virtue through benevolence—nurture the warmth of a healer, carry forward the responsibility of a healer, and become a new generation of Jiangxi Medical College people with medical skill, benevolence, sentiment, and a sense of responsibility.

At the ceremony, the "Liu Wei Alumni Scholarship" donation ceremony was held. Liu Wei, an alumnus from the Class of 2001 of Jiangxi Medical College, cares deeply about his alma mater and donated funds to establish the "Liu Wei Alumni Scholarship" to encourage HuanKui Academy students to devote themselves to academic pursuits. Leaders from the Alumni Office accepted the donation on behalf of the university and presented Liu Wei with a commemorative donation plaque.

Alumnus Liu Wei shared his reflections based on his own study and career experiences, and offered advice to his junior schoolmates: First, observe discipline—know reverence, understand bottom lines, and think thrice before acting. Second, know how to learn—master scientific learning methods and flexibly use various tools for independent learning. Third, have love—always harbor a healer's benevolence and help others more. Fourth, be happy—cherish the precious university years, maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, and study and live healthily and happily. Fifth, persist—stay grounded, work steadily and persistently, and strive to pursue medical dreams.

At the ceremony, the unveiling ceremony for the "AI Medical Practice Base" was also held. Shanghai Mengzhilu Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and HuanKui Academy jointly established the "AI Medical Practice Base." Li Feiqiang, Deputy Secretary of Jiangxi Medical College, and Lin Maohui, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Mengzhilu, jointly unveiled the base. The landing of the "AI Medical Practice Base" in the HuanKui Building marks a new step for the Academy's digital medical education, injecting technological momentum into the cultivation of top-notch innovative medical talents.

Zhong Zihe, a student from the Class of 2026 Basic Medical Sciences Innovation Experimental Class, spoke as the representative of the new students. On behalf of all new students, he solemnly promised: First, observe the teaching of "lofty virtue"—cultivate virtue and establish oneself, with compassion in heart. Second, pursue the art of "medical excellence"—study diligently and temper medical skills. Third, uphold the way of "preserving integrity"—strictly observe academic bottom lines and conduct rigorous scholarship. Fourth, promote the spirit of "innovation"—seize opportunities and actively explore unknown frontiers of medicine.

Vice President Pan Bingxing introduced the century-long educational history of Jiangxi Medical College to the new students, pointing out that the motto "lofty virtue, medical excellence" has imbued generations of "Jiangxi Medical College people" and accumulated a profound educational heritage. He emphasized that the Clinical Excellence and Innovation Experimental Class and the Basic Medical Sciences Innovation Experimental Class both belong to the core formation of top-notch talent cultivation at the medical college, and are achievements under the collaborative education model of the Academy and the College. The university has tailor-made growth pathways for top-notch innovative talents, implementing small-class, tutorial, and personalized cultivation, promoting early research involvement, early clinical exposure, and early international experience.

Pan Bingxing offered four hopes to the students: First, aspire—harbor the "greatness of the nation" in heart, and integrate personal ideals and pursuits into the construction of "Healthy China." Second, strengthen the foundation—build a solid foundation for success, hone skills, value scientific thinking and critical thinking, persist in early clinical exposure, more clinical exposure, and repeated clinical exposure, and uphold academic integrity. Third, innovate—bravely stand at the forefront of the times, actively embrace frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, and find direction in the interdisciplinary integration of medicine-engineering, medicine-science, and medicine-humanities. During the book-giving segment, leaders presented books to the new students. On the title page of each book, handwritten messages from outstanding senior schoolmates from previous years were preserved. A page of messages, a wisp of book fragrance—this is both a relay of the medical spirit and an expression of the earnest expectations of teachers and seniors for the new students.

At the end of the ceremony, all new students stood solemnly, raised their right fists, and collectively recited the medical student oath.

This opening ceremony is not only a new coordinate for the Class of 2026 experimental class students to devote themselves to medicine and pursue scientific research dreams, but also another practice of HuanKui Academy and the School of Basic Medical Sciences resonating at the same frequency and educating collaboratively.
