(Reporter: Liao Huiwen) On the morning of September 6th, the "Years Like Songs, A New Beginning" Shanghai Alumni Sharing and Exchange Meeting was successfully held in Conference Room 218 of the Huan Kui Building. Luo Zhiguo, President of the Medical Branch of the Shanghai Alumni Association, along with seven outstanding alumni from Jiangxi Medical College, gathered with faculty and students of the college to reminisce and discuss their growth. Dean Zheng Liping, an alumna of the Class of '91, welcomed her seniors and juniors back to their alma mater. She gave a detailed explanation of Huan Kui College's educational philosophy of "High Morality, Excellent Medical Skills, Upholding Integrity and Innovation," its talent cultivation model, and the basic situation of the college's construction, allowing alumni to further understand the college's current development and educational model.

President Luo Zhiguo delivered a speech, offering his earnest expectations to the Huan Kui students and encouraging them to be able to learn, practice, write, speak, and love on their medical studies journey. He also introduced the Shanghai Alumni Association's sixteen-character guiding principle: "Uniting Alumni, Expressing Gratitude to Our Alma Mater, Giving Back to Our Hometown, and Contributing to Society." He further stated that the association would collaborate with the academy in collaborative education, providing full support in terms of personnel, funding, and resources. He deeply appreciated the new policies implemented by his alma mater, Nanchang University, in recent years, as well as the new academic philosophy of the Huan Kui Academy leadership. Finally, he encouraged the students to remember their alma mater's nurturing, to always be grateful, and to give back to their alma mater and hometown after achieving success.

The alumni representatives shared their academic and professional experiences with the students. They encouraged the students to solidify their professional foundation, maintain a rigorous and conscientious attitude, and hone their practical skills; they also encouraged them to broaden their horizons, actively participate in sports and club activities, and safeguard their physical and mental health. As future medical professionals, they emphasized the importance of cultivating virtue, maintaining a compassionate heart, and mastering the ability to communicate warmly with patients. Meanwhile, alumni should align themselves with the goal of all-round development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, finding a growth path that suits them among numerous life choices.

Alumni actively responded to the college's development needs: Alumnus Jiang Zhihai offered the Nanchang branch as a practical teaching base, providing students with a training platform; Alumnus Xu Midie, drawing on her own research experience, volunteered to serve as a "three-pronged approach to education" mentor and graduate advisor, providing comprehensive support to her juniors in academic guidance and growth care. The alumni's pragmatic measures multidimensionally empowered the college's talent cultivation, fully demonstrating their deep gratitude to their alma mater and their commitment to giving back to education, and injecting solid strength into Huan Kui College's efforts to build a renowned medical education institution.

During the exchange and sharing session, the students responded enthusiastically. A student representative asked, "In the current era of rapid AI development, what qualities should medical practitioners possess to coexist harmoniously with AI?" The alumni pointed out that AI is an efficient auxiliary tool that can process data and improve work efficiency, but it cannot replace human professional accumulation and deep thinking. Only by deeply cultivating one's professional field, solidifying core competencies, and possessing independent judgment can one effectively utilize AI without becoming dependent on it. Simply relying on artificial intelligence for learning will ultimately hinder long-term success.

It is understood that the outstanding alumni participating in this symposium came from different grades, including the classes of 1988, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2004. Among them were renowned hospital experts and accomplished entrepreneurs. This warm gathering of alumni from across the country was also a dialogue of ideas, inspiring future generations. The alumni's valuable experience illuminated the path forward for the students, further strengthening the bond between the academy and its alumni. Passing on the torch, the spirit of learning continues; the students of Huan Kui Academy will remember the alumni's words, persevere, and strive for growth on their medical journey.
